Analysis of "Wake Me Up..." Music Video

In the music video, George and Andrew are playing to a young audience in what looks like a live performance. They are dressed in white t-shirts and dancing around the stage, and the crowd are clapping and waving their hands etc. This compliments the energy of the song, and also the youthful audience makes it seem "young" and "hip". It's not a particularly great video and it has no storyline, but the iconic dancing and clothing can be viewed as a lasting image of the 1980's pop scene, in a similar vein to Rick Astley's "Never gonna give you up" which brought about the internet phenomenon "rickrolling". In the real version, it all takes place inside a studio, so for ours we're changing it to an outside location. Hopefully the weather will be fine and suit the video. If it's overcast, we might have to do more editing!

  1. This is good research. I would like to see how your project will relate to this or the reasons why you are taking it in a different direction. You need to start putting all this research into context.
